Coming home from work, I had no idea my mission call would be waiting in the mail. In Salt Lake everyone gets their call on Wednesdays, its been that way forever. So when Wednesday came around and there wasn't a white envelope in the mailbox I wasn't too disappointed because I thought things would be postponed due to the holidays. So I was set on waiting another week.
I was grabbing the mail before walking inside not expecting anything, when low and behold there was a big white envelope at the bottom. I pulled it out and...it was my mission call!!
I was so surprised my heart was racing like crazy. Immediately I ran inside and told everyone and called Andrew. He was just minutes away from arriving at work but came all the way back home just to be here.
I got some of my friends on skype while waiting. And then the video pretty much sums up the rest.
Haha I couldn't even say The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because right then I looked down and saw Louisiana. I wanted to keep reading though for everyone else to hear but I was too distracted. I know, way to ruin the intense moment.
